Check out this great archived story about Glacier Bay by one of our recent fishing clients:
"Glacier Bay: An Icy Blue Gem of a National Park"
Ripple Cove Charters has 3, 4, and 5 day/ night all-inclusive fishing
packages. We also offer fishing day trips and private whale watching tours for those of you staying locally.
We are a husband and wife run business. We own our two boats and lodge, the Fish-R-Inn.
We distinguish ourselves from other Gustavus businesses in two ways...
First, and most importantly, we serve one client group at a time. Group size can range from 4-6. If you have less than four people in your party, we will work with you to find additional people to fish as a client group. Parties of four or more will have the lodge and boat
to themselves.
The staff will always have plenty of time to provide you with supreme personalized service.
The second thing that makes us unique is that we are very flexible. You can pick the day you arrive and depart and how many days you’ll fish.
You can even stay an extra day if you want to tour Glacier Bay National Park or experience some
of the great activities our town of 400 has to offer including: golfing, hiking, river fishing, flight-seeing,
and kayaking.

There are many places to fish in Alaska. We hope you choose Ripple Cove Charters. The fishing is truly spectacular. More and larger halibut are caught here than anywhere else in Alaska by sportsfishermen.
We also fish in
protected waters so you will generally enjoy calm seas. Our halibut grounds, and a good portion of our salmon
spots, are just a 15 to 20 minute boat ride away.
For lingcod, rockfish, and king salmon we may venture to the
outer-coast, weather permitting.
Gustavus is a land-locked peninsula so you have to get here by plane or boat. Although a small town, Gustavus enjoys seasonal Alaska Airlines 737 jet service from Juneau during the peak summer period (mid-June to late August).
Several small airlines also fly into Gustavus from Juneau or other nearby cities. A passenger ferry provides
transportation from Juneau a few times a week as well. Recently, Gustavus was added as an Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) destination, so you can also get to Gustavus with or without a vehicle from Juneau on the state ferry.

Please enjoy our website and contact us to make a reservation or to answer any questions. We will work our
hardest to make your trip unforgettable.
We were featured recently in a series of articles by Tom Tatum, the
outdoor writer for the Daily Local News. The Daily Local News serves the greater Chester County Pennsylvania area.
Our captain was also shown in Alaska Coastal Angler Magazine or July 2010, Volume 13, Issue 7.
Please note: Yes, Ripple Cove Charters has a 2011 halibut limited entry permit. (CHP) If you want to fish for halibut in Alaska, make sure your charter company complies with these new halibut fishing regulations.
